Mount Shasta: Where Heaven and Earth Meet PDF Print E-mail

How do I describe Mount Shasta – all the faces of her beauty, the strange tales of her magic, her deep serenity, and the transformation and power so many have felt in her presence? She has been my home for over a decade, and now, half a world away, not knowing when I’ll ever be back, she still tugs at my heart and my memories as no other place on Earth.

The largest free standing mountain on Earth, this 14,000 foot dormant volcano is situated in Northern California, part of a chain of volcanoes along that entire coastline. Covered in deep snow for much of the year, she is sacred to Native American tribes throughout the region, and is increasingly becoming a center for “New Age” consciousness as well. A town by the same name lies nestled at her feet.

The earliest stories of Shasta speak of a race of people living underneath the mountain, remnants of an earlier Lemurian civilization, in a city called Telos.  They are an ancient, gentle people, and say they will return to the surface to join their younger brothers and sisters after the Great Shift that awaits humanity. I have had dreams of Telos, and many people I know have traveled through inter-dimensional doorways into their world.

Whether it be the collective energy field generated by the Telosians or the natural “ley lines” running in that part of the world, Mt Shasta is recognized as a major power spot or energy vortex, one of the 7 “chakras” of the Earth. The vibrational frequency here is extremely high, which facilitates rapid spiritual development, intense dreams, and inter-dimensional experiences for many people, especially at the higher elevations. Many receive spiritual insight and clarity even if they come only to climb, ski, or stare at her stupendous beauty.

Indeed, in the higher alpine meadows of this beautiful snowy mountain, many have felt themselves crossing between worlds to enter a different dimension of Earth, where the Elder Ones can speak directly.  It is home to the “ascended masters”, immortal beings such as St Germain who guide the larger evolution of humanity. Many also feel the presence of angels and nature spirits quite strongly, and encounters with extraterrestrial beings is commonplace. Not all of these are physical contacts, yet as one’s vibrational frequency is raised in resonance with the emanations of this powerful vortex, these contacts become possible in the upper regions of consciousness. Like so many others, I too have had extraordinary experiences of meeting and receiving guidance from such beings.

In the early 1930’s a young man from Chicago, Guy Ballard, began having daily encounters with St. Germain on the mountain, who spoke to him of the invisible worlds and instructed him in the use of decrees and the violet flame to neutralize the destructive forces that humankind had generated. This eventually led to the creation of the “I AM Movement” worldwide, and his books, Unveiled Mysteries, The Magic Presence, and The I AM Discourses are now spiritual bestsellers.

Power spots like Mt Shasta are opportunities to tune into inter-dimensional realms not only for one’s own spiritual growth but also for the transmutation of Mother Earth. Just as the chakras and acupuncture points provide access to subtler fields of form within our own bodies, so it is true that we can influence the mass consciousness fields of Earth through these planetary chakras and vortexes. There is indeed a whole network of such interlinked planetary centers, what some have called the Christ-consciousness grid, through which we can attune with the Elder Ones and consciously heal humanity and the Earth.

I feel privileged to have spent so many wonderful years of my life in this sacred vortex. Yet, every place on Earth is equally sacred, because the entire Earth is sacred. As we believe that and live that, we each become a sacred vortex, each capable of channeling these enormous forces of life and love for the healing of our world!
